today I am going to share 4 easy and
effective ways to fix the error 0X80300024 , before that let me tell you
why this error generally occurs .
There are several reasons for the error 0X80300024 like not enough space on the selected hard disk drive
or the installation media file is corrupted or may be the selected hard disk
drive is corrupted. One of the simple reason like wrong port can cause this
error i.e. if you have inserted your USB drive in wrong port or there may some
issue between the application software and the hard drive. Sometimes it could
be a connection issue also so make sure all the necessary accessories are
working properly and the connection between the hard disk drive, which you want
to install the windows and the installation drive, is connected properly
because sometimes if your connections are not proper simply causes the error
0X80300024 and makes you crazy.
So there are multiple reasons but whatever is the reason
behind your error 0X80300024 we are
going to fix this with 4 easy and effective ways below.
1.
Remove
Any Unnecessary Hard Drives
In case your computer has more than one hard disk drive, one
of which you can use as installation destination. Thus, it may happen that your
installation drive is unable to locate properly the hard disk drive, which you
want to install the windows that might be causing the error 0X80300024.So
try to unplug all hard disk drives except for one that you need to
install the windows on. Restart installation to check whether doing so resolves
the error.
2. Switch to Different USB Port
In case if you are using
a USB installation media, then make sure that you have selected USB instead of DVD as an
installation source. Also, try using USB port 3 and 2 to see which suits you
best at this time. So we suggest that you disconnect the flash drive, then try inserting it
to other ports. Sometimes connecting to the wrong USB port may result
in error 0x80300024.
3.
Adjust the BOOT order
according to target Hard disk Drive
While starting the system every computer
has an order of sources, it tries to boot the Operating System from, and this
order is configured through the average computer’s BIOS. It might be the issue
that the hard drive you are trying to install Windows on is not at the top of
your computer’s BOOT order thus you are getting the error 0x80300024
.
So try to adjust the Boot order of your
computer in a way where your target hard drive in which you want to install the
windows must be on the top of Boot order. In order to do so you need to follow
the steps below.
§ Start or restart your computer
§ On the first screen that shows up you need to
press either of the key F1 or F2 or Delete key for accessing the BIOS screen depending on the brand of your
computer.
§ After entering the BIOS setup go to the boot configuration.
§
Change the boot order – set the
destination drive for Windows installation as the first boot order.
§
While in the Bios, also ensure that you
have selected “UEFI” as the boot
mode. The option should be in the “Boot” section of Bios.
§
Save the changes and exit BIOS.
Now try to
install the windows operating system again and check the error is gone or not.
4. Format the Installation Location
When the partition of the hard disk
drive that you are trying to install Windows on is not a newly created one,
some previous data on the partition maybe interfering with the installation
operation. So it is suggested that you’d better format the installation
location before installing Windows. Thus formatting your hard drive will
resolve the error error
0x80300024.
In order to format your hard disk you need to
follow the steps below.
Step 1: Plug the bootable Windows installation
media into the computer and then restart the system.
Step 2: When your
computer starts up, choose to boot from the inserted installation media.
Step 3: Choose your preferred
language and other preferences.
Step 4: Choose the Custom (advanced) box when the
notification appears.
Step 5: In the Windows Setup page
appears, click on Drive options (advanced).
